Having a keen interest in entrepreneurship, Joanie’s passion is to invest time and energy into start-ups, enabling young entrepreneurs to understand their business, make savvy decisions based on real time financial data, and ultimately to grow their businesses.  This, partnered with Joanie’s legal expertise and corporate tax knowledge, makes for a winning combination in any business, from setting up your business through to handling any negotiations.

Joanie obtained the degree B Acc LLB at Stellenbosch University in 2008, and continued to qualify as a Chartered Accountant (SA), registering with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2013.  Grit being the key characteristic here, Joanie went a step further and complete her articles of clerkship at a prominent law firm based in Stellenbosch, and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 2013.    

Joanie’s favourite part of the week is spending time with her husband Nicol on their family farm, either on a bike, in running shoes or on the back of a horse.  Pair this with a glass of good wine to end of the day, she is happy!
